Neverland

Imagine a place where time seems to stand still,
where nature prevails and the Mediterranean scrub imposes itself without question.
On this Neverland, the sound of the sea marks the passage of time.

At the beginning of the 18th century, Terranova, now Olbia, was inhabited by a few hundred shepherds and farmers. Its territory included several ponds that produced just enough salt to meet the needs of Gallura. The largest, located in the southern part of the gulf, near the point known as Maladromiri, was six miles from the town. The pond closest to the sea received its water, which then passed to the others, directly from the port known as Saline. Punta Saline is known for its long beach and ponds that once served as salt pans. The area has been inhabited since the Nuragic era and has seen the presence of various civilizations. More recently, since the 1970s, Punta Saline has attracted artists and artisans, creating a bohemian atmosphere.
